Summary
I attended Mission College with a Major in Real Estate, After doing a 3 month internship for a real estate broker I realized that selling real estate was not the right fit for me. I worked for the Summer for a real Estate appraisers office as well. That didn't tickle my fancy either! After a few more months of classes I went to work for a commercial property management company and fell in love with my job! I had a passion for working with the public and wearing so many hats. Handing contract negotiations, Website development, Bookkeeping & Payroll, hiring and training staff, over seeing construction projects! I was actually having fun! 


One day I looked up to realize that 30 years had gone by. 

In 2003 I went back to school for Bookkeeping since I was 

already helping all of my friends and family. I wanted to 

make sure i was giving them the best advise possible. I 

still worked in Residential and commercial property

management until the end of 2007.


It was the beginning of 2008 at the heart of the financial crash

and I found myself out of a job in my industry for the first time

in years! After working day labor in construction four hours

away from my home  for a week breaking my back to put food

on the table, I broke! I thought to myself... 


There has got to be a better way! I began taking a list of my 

skills and putting them together. There was an industry for my

skills... Bookkeeper. I took a few more classes and spent many

long nights awake researching how to start my own business.


I spoke with my friends and family to get advise, especially from

those that were business owners already. I did my business 

plan, did my market research and all while continuing to work

a full time job for someone else.


In June of 2010 the company we were working for hired an 

outside management company. I had my running shoes ready

(Who moved my cheese reference) and with a $1,000.00 

severance pay check, I opened Vincent Bookkeeping on July

6th 2010.


After 9 years as a sole Proprietor I came to the conclusion that

I needed to take my company to the next level. So I did, by 

Converting Vincent Bookkeeping into a C Corporation. I have

since added some new services and skills such as Notary Public

and Consulting services to assist my clients and create a well

balanced business that can weather even the tough times.
